I
serve as the treasurer of BFFDA and am a professional stock trader. My motivation for collaborating with BFFDA stems, in part, from a commitment I made to my friend Samuel Amponsah, who fell into drug addiction due to the influence of peers, believing that drugs could alleviate his depression. I resolved to partner with any organization dedicated to educating young people about the devastating effects of drugs on the human body.
The battle against drug abuse in Ghana extends beyond the borders of the nation, encompassing the entire African continent and the world at large. This issue is critical, as many terrorist organizations exploit drug addicts, using them as suicide bombers, which poses a significant threat globally. Furthermore, a considerable number of these individuals engage in criminal activities that do not solely target Ghanaians; they also endanger foreign visitors and tourists within the country. Consequently, the struggle against drug abuse in Ghana is a collective endeavor that affects everyone, not just the citizens of Ghana.
