who we are

Break Free from Drug Addiction Foundation (BFFDA)

BFFDA

Break Free from Drug Addiction Foundation (BFFDA) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Ghana dedicated to preventing drug addiction, particularly among the youth. Founded with a vision to create a drug-free generation, BFFDA adopts a comprehensive approach, focusing on prevention, rehabilitation, and the reintegration of former addicts into society.
Our operations cover urban and rural communities, with a focus on areas with high unemployment and poverty rates— major contributors to drug abuse in Ghana.

We envision a society where every young person is equipped with the knowledge, resilience, and opportunities to make informed decisions about drug use. Our goal is to create a future where drug addiction no longer destroys lives or communities— where hope triumphs over despair, and every individual has the support to lead a healthy, productive, fulfilling and drug addiction-free life.

Our approach

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to ignite hope and change in the lives of those at risk of drug addiction. We aim to prevent drug addiction through proactive education, rehabilitate those affected by offering a path to recovery, and empower former addicts by providing the means to rebuild their lives through sustainable livelihoods. We believe that by addressing the root causes of drug addiction, such as poverty and unemployment, we can inspire lasting change and break the cycle of addiction, one life at a time.
